The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather forecast for Sindh province, predicting severe hot and dry conditions across most districts over the next 24 hours. The advisory, released on Saturday, highlights that temperatures are expected to remain exceptionally high, with clear skies dominating the region.
Areas Likely to Experience Dust-Thunderstorms
While the majority of Sindh will face intense heat, certain districts are likely to witness strong winds accompanied by dust-raising and thunderstorm activity. These areas include Sukkur, Shikarpur, Qambar Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, Larkana, Moenjo Daro, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Ghotki, Khairpur, and Noshero Feroze. Residents in these regions are advised to remain cautious of sudden wind gusts and reduced visibility due to dust.
General Weather Pattern
Apart from the aforementioned districts, the rest of the province will continue to experience severe hot and dry weather. The PMD has urged the public to take necessary precautions, such as staying hydrated and avoiding direct exposure to the sun during peak hours. The forecast comes as Sindh grapples with a prolonged spell of high temperatures, typical for this time of year.
