KARACHI - Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi has stated that environmental protection has become one of the most urgent necessities of our era.

Speaking as the chief guest at a ceremony held at Governor House to mark World Environment Day, he emphasized that collective awareness and practical steps are vital to tackle the effects of climate change.

The Governor of Sindh noted that Pakistan ranks among the nations most severely impacted by climate change. Adopting an environmentally friendly lifestyle is imperative at this time.

“We must jointly combat the excessive use of plastic, water wastage, and deforestation,” he said, adding that tree planting is not merely a campaign but a guarantee of a secure future for coming generations.

Support for Green Initiatives

Hashmi declared that Governor House will fully support every positive initiative aimed at eliminating environmental pollution and promoting a greener Sindh.

He stressed that a clean, green, and safe environment is our collective responsibility.

Call to Action

The Governor urged the public to plant at least one tree to help ensure a greener and safer future.
