A tragic incident occurred in the Sultan Khel Harm Chaina Parang Dara area of Haleemzai tehsil in Mohmand district, where a 16-year-old student drowned in accumulated rainwater. Rescue 1122 officials confirmed the incident on Wednesday.

Victim Identified

The deceased was identified as Sanan Khan, son of Irfan. He was an eighth-grade student at a private school in Ghalanai. The incident took place when the boy ventured into the water, which had accumulated due to recent rains.

Rescue Operation

According to Rescue 1122, the control room received an emergency call regarding the drowning. A rescue team, including medical personnel, was immediately dispatched to the site. Rescuers reached the area promptly and pulled the boy out of the water. He was found in critical condition, and emergency responders administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and provided first aid at the scene.

Hospital Declaration

The victim was later shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Ghalanai, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The family and community were left in shock by the sudden loss.
