Two Coal Mine Workers Die in Jamshoro Rope Break

Two coal mine workers were killed and two others injured in Jamshoro district on Sunday after a rope hoisting them from a mine shaft snapped, plunging them dozens of meters. The incident occurred at a mine operated by the Sindh Mine Company in the Lakhra coalfield area.

Victims Identified

According to the Lakhra Coalmine police, the deceased were identified as Jumo Khan Rajar and Nadir Rajar, both residents of Sanghar district. Police officials confirmed that the bodies were recovered from the mine and were transported to Liaquat University Hospital for medico-legal procedures.

Injured Hospitalized

The two injured workers were also shifted to the same hospital for treatment. Their identities have not been disclosed. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident. The mine has been temporarily closed pending safety inspections.
