LODHRAN: Police on Monday claimed to have arrested two notorious drug peddlers from different areas of the district and recovered narcotics from their possession.
First Arrest at BC Chowk
On a tip-off, Galewal police raided at BC Chowk and arrested a drug peddler identified as Sharakt Khan. Police recovered 1.020 kg of hashish from his possession.
Second Arrest in Kahror Pacca
In another raid, City Kahror Pacca police arrested a drug peddler identified as Ihteshaam Khan. He was found in possession of 1.060 kg of hashish, which he had concealed in a shopping bag.
Cases have been registered against both accused under the relevant laws. The police are investigating further to trace their network.
In a separate incident, one person was killed and another injured in a firing incident in Gujrat. Details are awaited.
