WASA MD Orders Priority Schemes Completion by June 30

FAISALABAD: Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Managing Director Saqib Raza has directed officials to complete all priority development schemes by June 30 and ensure immediate rehabilitation of roads affected by ongoing infrastructure projects.

Meeting on Development Schemes Progress

Chairing a meeting to review the progress of development schemes, the MD WASA said three major projects being executed under the Chief Minister's Package must be completed within the stipulated deadline. He instructed contractors to accelerate work and directed consultant agencies to maintain strict oversight to ensure transparency and quality standards.

Punjab Development Program Schemes

Saqib Raza also ordered the completion of priority schemes under the Punjab Development Program by the end of June, stressing that road restoration work should begin immediately in areas where pipeline-laying activities have been completed. He further directed officials to conduct a comprehensive survey of streets affected by pipeline installation so that rehabilitation work could be carried out without delay.

Deputy Commissioner's Emphasis on Sewerage Upgradation

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Capt (retd) Nadeem Nasir emphasized the need for the early completion of sewerage upgradation projects being implemented by WASA under the Punjab Development Program to provide relief to citizens during the upcoming monsoon season.
