FIA Foils Fake NOC Bid by Govt Employee at Multan Airport

MULTAN - The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration authorities at Multan Airport thwarted an attempt by a government employee to travel abroad using a counterfeit No Objection Certificate (NOC). According to FIA sources on Saturday, passenger Mohsin Ali was offloaded from Flight No. PA812 bound for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after immigration officials identified discrepancies in the documents presented during the clearance process.

Passenger Details

The passenger was reportedly serving as a ward servant at the District Health Authority in Vehari. Initial investigations revealed that Mohsin Ali had submitted an NOC for overseas travel which was found to be forged during the verification process.

Involvement of Official

FIA officials stated that the fake document was allegedly arranged with the involvement of an official identified as Naveed Imran, who is posted at the District Health Authority, Vehari. Following preliminary interrogation, the accused was handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC), Multan, for further legal proceedings.

Director FIA Multan Zone, Ata-ur-Rehman, commended the immigration team for their timely action and reiterated that strict measures are being taken against individuals involved in document forgery and illegal travel practices. He urged citizens to adopt legal channels for overseas travel and avoid handing over personal documents to unauthorized persons. The director also advised the public to immediately report visa fraud or suspicious activities to the FIA.
