Lahore Ring Road Service Areas: 20-Year Lease Plan

The Lahore Ring Road Authority (LRRA) has announced plans to establish modern service areas at multiple locations along the Ring Road, aiming to provide enhanced facilities for citizens and travelers. The authority has invited applications from experienced firms and companies to develop and operate these service areas.

Lease Terms and Application Deadline

According to officials, the service areas will be leased for an initial period of 20 years, with the successful operator having the option to extend the lease for an additional 25 years. The last date for submitting applications is set for June 25, 2026.

Land Allocation and Facilities

The Ring Road Authority has allocated approximately 10 kanals of land at six different locations, including Bahria Town, DHA, Haluki, and Shafiq Pura. The service areas are expected to feature food courts, fuel stations, parking facilities, rest areas, and other amenities for passengers.

Revenue and Transparency

Officials stated that this project will not only improve facilities for travelers but also increase revenue for the Lahore Ring Road. Only experienced operators, firms, and companies will be eligible to submit applications, and successful bidders will be selected through a transparent and competitive process.

In a related development, the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has been placed on high alert, with its Managing Director announcing a zero-tolerance policy for negligence.
