Pakistan's goods and services trade with Italy recorded a surplus of $555.142 million during the first ten months of fiscal year 2025-26, marking an 18.41% increase compared to the $468.828 million surplus in the same period last year, according to data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
Export Performance
Overall exports to Italy reached $969.435 million in July-April 2025-26, up 3.52% from $936.456 million in the corresponding period of the previous year. However, on a year-on-year basis, exports in April 2026 declined by 3.22% to $89.304 million from $92.284 million in April 2025. Month-on-month, exports saw a nominal increase from $89.296 million in March 2026 to $89.304 million in April 2026.
Import Trends
Imports from Italy during July-April 2025-26 totaled $414.293 million, a decrease of 11.40% from $467.628 million in the same period last year. Year-on-year, imports in April 2026 fell by 12.39% to $34.673 million from $39.581 million in April 2025. On a month-on-month basis, imports dropped 15.57% from $30.000 million in March 2026 to $34.673 million in April 2026.
Overall Trade Context
Pakistan's total exports to all countries decreased by 5.43% in the ten-month period, from $27.307 billion to $25.824 billion. Meanwhile, overall imports increased by 8.49%, from $48.624 billion to $52.753 billion, the SBP data revealed.
