KARACHI: Parliamentary Leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Karamullah Waqasi, has stated that the replacement of the 60-year-old Water Line No. 5 from Dhabeji to Karachi is a landmark project with long-term benefits.
Project to Enhance Water Supply
In a statement issued on Thursday, Waqasi highlighted that the completion of this project will significantly strengthen the city’s water transmission network. He emphasized that the upgraded system will be more efficient, reliable, and sustainable, ensuring improved water supply for millions of residents across Karachi.
Long-Term Civic Improvements
Waqasi expressed confidence that the positive impact of these initiatives will become even more evident in the coming years. He noted that the project will contribute to addressing one of Karachi’s most pressing civic challenges: the chronic water shortage.
Concluding his remarks, Waqasi pointed to improvements in civic services, the rapid execution of development projects, enhancements in the water supply system, and record revenue collection as indicators that public confidence is strengthening. He asserted that these developments show Karachi is moving in the right direction.
Waqasi reiterated that the Pakistan Peoples Party remains committed to meeting public expectations and will further intensify its efforts to transform Karachi into a modern, developed, and prosperous city.
