Rawalpindi: Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan conducted surprise visits to multiple examination centres across Fateh Jang, Pindi Gheb, Khour Company, Jand and Rawalpindi on Monday as part of ongoing monitoring to ensure transparency in board examinations.
Centres Inspected
During the inspection, he visited Government High School No. 2 for Boys, Fateh Jang; Government Associate College for Boys, Fateh Jang; Government Boys High School No. 1, Pindi Gheb; Government Associate College for Women, Pindi Gheb; Government Girls High School No. 1, Pindi Gheb; and Government Girls High School, Khour Company.
Candidates Caught Cheating
According to the Controller of Examinations, five candidates were found violating examination rules and engaging in unfair means at Government High School No. 1, Pindi Gheb during the visit. In separate incidents, two candidates at Government Graduate College Asghar Mall, Rawalpindi, and five candidates at Government Boys High School No. 1, Jand (Attock), were also apprehended for attempting to use unfair means during examinations.
Legal Action Taken
Unfair Means Cases (UMCs) were registered against all accused candidates in accordance with examination regulations, and the cases have been forwarded to the relevant discipline branch for further proceedings.

The Controller of Examinations said that strict monitoring is being ensured across all examination centres to discourage malpractice and uphold transparency, merit and accountability within the examination system. He added that the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Rawalpindi remains committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring that deserving and hardworking students are provided a fair opportunity in a transparent examination environment.
