Gold Prices Drop Sharply in Pakistan, Down Rs9,720

ISLAMABAD - The price of gold registered a significant decline in the local market on Thursday, with 24 karat gold per tola falling by Rs9,720 to settle at Rs432,716 compared to Rs442,436 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

Gold and Silver Rates Decline

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs8,748 to Rs369,422 from Rs378,170, whereas 10 grams of 22 karat gold went down by Rs7,950 to Rs338,998 against Rs346,948.

International Market Trends

In the international market, the price of gold decreased by $97.20 to $4,102.80 per ounce from $4,200.00. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola declined by Rs40 to Rs6,889 from Rs6,929, while the price of 10 grams of silver dropped by Rs36 to Rs5,857 from Rs5,893.

The price of silver in the international market also decreased by $0.40 to $64.10 per ounce from $64.50.
