Gold Prices Drop Slightly in Pakistan, Silver Sees Gains

ISLAMABAD – The price of gold witnessed a slight decline in the local market on Wednesday, with 24 karat gold per tola decreasing by Rs200 to settle at Rs455,236, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold fell by Rs170 to Rs389,684, whereas 10 grams of 22 karat gold declined by Rs155 to Rs357,394. In the international market, the price of gold decreased by $2 to $4,328 per ounce.

Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs44 to Rs7,497 while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs38 to Rs6,385. The price of silver in the international market also increased by $0.44 to $70.24 per ounce, the association reported.
