IESCO Intensifies Crackdown on Electricity Dues, Power Suspension

The Chief Executive Officer of Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), Engr. Ch. Khalid Mahmood, has stated that the ongoing crackdown for the recovery of outstanding electricity dues across the IESCO region has been further intensified. Special recovery teams have been constituted to accelerate the collection process and ensure the protection of national resources as well as the uninterrupted supply of electricity to consumers.

Engr. Ch. Khalid Mahmood urged consumers to clear their electricity bills without delay in order to avoid the inconvenience of disconnection and potential legal action. He advised consumers not to wait until the due date and instead make timely payments to fulfill their civic responsibility and support IESCO’s efforts in maintaining a reliable power distribution system.

He further emphasized that consumers’ cooperation is essential for the efficient operation of the electricity network and the provision of quality services. For further information and assistance, consumers may contact their nearest IESCO office or call the IESCO Helpline at 118.

IESCO Notifies Power Suspension Programme

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) on Sunday issued a power suspension programme for Monday in various areas of its region due to necessary maintenance and routine development work.

According to an IESCO spokesman, power supply from the Pir Sohawa feeder under the Islamabad Circle will remain suspended from 7:00 am to 11:00 am. Under the Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, electricity supply from the Rehmatabad-I, Takbeer-I, Chaklala and Kot Jabbi feeders will remain suspended from 7:00 am to 11:00 am.

Similarly, under the Rawalpindi City Circle, consumers receiving electricity from the Sector-IV, APHS, PAF, Dhok Chaudrian, Peshawar Road, Millatabad, Cheering Cross, NRC, Cobe Line and Askari-XI feeders will face power outages from 7:00 am to 11:00 am. In Chakwal Circle, power supply from the Jamalwal and Mengan feeders will remain suspended from 7:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Meanwhile, under the GSO Circle, electricity supply in 132-kV New Wah-POF transmission line along with the related earth switch will remain suspended from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Similarly, maintenance work on the 132-kV Chakwal-Bhagwal-Talagang, 132-kV Kahuta City-Palandri and 132-kV New Wah-Bahter More transmission lines, along with related earth switches, will be carried out from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, resulting in temporary power suspension in the respective areas and their surroundings.

IESCO management apologizes to its esteemed customers for the power outage. If the work is completed ahead of time, the power supply can be restored even before the scheduled time.
