RAWALPINDI: Police on Friday arrested two proclaimed offenders (POs) involved in a burglary and theft case, recovering stolen gold jewelry and cash worth more than Rs4.3 million within the jurisdiction of Race Course police station.
Details of the Crime
According to a police spokesperson, the suspects broke into a house by smashing locks during the occupants' absence and fled with valuables. The accused had been evading arrest since February this year.
Recovery of Stolen Items
During the operation, police recovered approximately 8.5 tolas of stolen gold jewelry valued at over Rs4.3 million, along with Rs100,000 in cash. The arrests were made through a coordinated effort utilizing technical surveillance and human intelligence sources.
SP Potohar Sardar Babar Mumtaz Khan commended the police team and handed over the recovered jewelry and cash to the complainant. He stated that the arrested offenders would be challaned with solid evidence to face legal proceedings. The police official reiterated the commitment to combat crime and bring wanted suspects to justice through effective investigative measures.
