Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has issued a power suspension programme for different areas within its jurisdiction for May 2026. The outages are scheduled to facilitate essential maintenance and repair work on the electricity network.
Details of the Power Suspension Programme
According to the IESCO spokesman, electricity supply will remain suspended for several hours on specified dates. The affected feeders and areas include:
- F-8/1, F-8/2, F-8/3, F-8/4, and G-8/1 sectors in Islamabad
- Rawalpindi's Satellite Town, Westridge, and Chaklala Scheme III
- Areas under the jurisdiction of Wah Cantt, Taxila, and Attock
Duration and Timings
Power outages will typically last from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on the scheduled days. However, some areas may experience longer interruptions depending on the nature of work.
IESCO has urged consumers to cooperate and make necessary arrangements during the suspension period. The company assured that efforts would be made to restore power as soon as the maintenance work is completed.
