Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday expressed appreciation for the United States' role in facilitating the repatriation of Pakistani and Iranian seafarers through Singapore. The acknowledgment came during a meeting with US Chargé d'Affaires Natalie Baker in Islamabad, as per a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Discussions on Regional Situation
During the meeting, Dar and Baker exchanged views on the evolving regional dynamics and the broader spectrum of Pakistan-US bilateral relations. The talks underscored the importance of continued cooperation between the two countries on various fronts.
Meeting with Saudi Counterpart
Separately, Dar also held discussions with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. The two leaders deliberated on the regional situation and matters of mutual interest. Prince Faisal reiterated Saudi Arabia's support for Pakistan's efforts aimed at fostering peace and stability in the region.
The meetings highlighted Pakistan's active engagement with key international partners to address regional challenges and strengthen diplomatic ties. The US assistance in repatriating the seafarers was particularly noted as a positive example of bilateral cooperation.
