Citizens Archive Pakistan (CAP) has launched a new exhibition titled 'Husn-e-Hunar' at the National History Museum in Lahore. The exhibit aims to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Pakistan through a diverse collection of artifacts, photographs, and artworks.
Exhibition Highlights
The 'Husn-e-Hunar' exhibit features over 200 pieces, including traditional crafts, historical documents, and contemporary art. Visitors can explore the evolution of Pakistani art and culture from ancient times to the modern era. The exhibition is divided into several sections, each focusing on a different aspect of Pakistan's heritage.
Art and Craftsmanship
One section highlights traditional crafts such as pottery, embroidery, and woodwork. These items showcase the skill and creativity of Pakistani artisans. Another section displays historical photographs that capture moments from Pakistan's history, including the independence movement and the early years of the nation.
Cultural Significance
The exhibition also includes interactive installations that allow visitors to engage with the exhibits. For instance, a digital kiosk provides information about the artifacts and their historical context. Additionally, there are workshops where visitors can learn traditional crafts from skilled artisans.
The launch event was attended by cultural enthusiasts, historians, and government officials. In his speech, the director of CAP emphasized the importance of preserving Pakistan's cultural heritage for future generations. He also thanked the National History Museum for hosting the exhibition.
'Husn-e-Hunar' will remain open to the public until the end of the year. The museum is open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM, except on public holidays. Admission is free for students and senior citizens, with a nominal fee for other visitors.
