The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) has successfully retained its position in the QS World University Rankings 2027, demonstrating continuous progress in academic performance, research output, and institutional development. The QS rankings are globally recognized as one of the most credible and merit-based evaluation systems in higher education.
Key Improvements in Ranking Indicators
In the 2027 edition, IUB recorded notable improvements across several key performance indicators. The faculty citations score increased from 9.1 to 10.5, reflecting a rise in research impact. The international research network score improved significantly from 55.8 to 66.7, indicating stronger global collaborations. The sustainability score saw substantial progress, climbing from 36.2 to 52.5, while employment outcomes improved by 13 points, highlighting better graduate employability.
Leadership and Institutional Commitment
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Kamran attributed the sustained recognition to the university's unwavering commitment to academic excellence, quality research, and institutional advancement. He emphasized that the improved scores are a testament to the collective efforts of faculty and staff.
Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell, Prof Dr Muhammad Asadullah Madani, stated that this achievement is the result of teamwork across all departments under the guidance and leadership of the Vice Chancellor. He appreciated the dedication of faculty members and university departments for contributing to the institution's improved global standing.
