Millie Bobby Brown recently disclosed that she flew Tom Cruise's helicopter, calling the action star a 'dear friend.' In an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast with host Josh Horowitz, the Stranger Things actress shared her admiration for Cruise's stunt work and her own passion for performing stunts.
Flying Tom Cruise's Helicopter
Brown recalled piloting Cruise's helicopter, saying, 'I was like, "This is the last time I ever fly any of his equipment."' She described Cruise as 'a wonderful man' and noted, 'He's a dear friend. Tom does the craziest stuff. I think he's trying to get me to somehow fly a plane at some point.'
Doing Her Own Stunts
The actress emphasized her love for performing stunts, stating it is 'thrilling' and expressing hope to inspire young girls. 'I really want young girls to think they can, you know? You'll always hear an older actor say, "Don't do your own stunts," and I get that,' she said. Brown added that with proper training, actors can safely perform stunts: 'If you get a really great stunt coordinator and you learn how to land and you learn the whole technique of it, we as actors should know how to do certain things.'
She quipped about her contractual limits: 'I try to do 90% and the 10% is probably, you know, in my contract that I'm not allowed, even though I beg.'
Comparison to Tom Cruise
This revelation follows Brown's earlier comment on The Drew Barrymore Show, where she called herself 'the female version of Tom Cruise' while filming her movie Damsel.
