Rawat Police Arrest Chinese, Pakistani Nationals in Raid

ISLAMABAD: The Rawat police arrested several Chinese and Pakistani nationals, both men and women, over immoral activities during a late-night raid at a house in Bahria Town Phase-7 on Thursday. The police said they, acting on a tip-off, raided House 58, Road 16, Intellectual Village, Phase 7 to arrest an accused wanted in connection with a murder case. The absconder, identified as Raza son of Ateeq, a resident of Sagri Tehsil and District Rawalpindi, however, fled from the scene, according to the police.

During the raid, the police found several young women and men in a compromised position. The First Information Report (FIR) registered at the Rawat police station stated that the accused were also live on social media at the time of the raid. “They were also filming porn videos,” the FIR added.

The police arrested one Chinese national, Li Guoliang son of Feng Xiang, on the spot. A pistol (TAF-3550) along with live rounds was recovered from him, for which he could not produce any licence. The other three male accused arrested from the scene later introduced themselves as Li Shaoheng son of Li Heng, a resident of Xulou Village Yandianlou Town COA, 137 County Shandon China; Badreen Ahmed bin Abdul Rehman son of Ahmed Hussain, a resident of Tehsil and District Kotli; and Saad Ali son of Khadim Hussain, a resident of Islamabad.

The female accused introduced themselves as Naseem Arif daughter of Muhammad Arif, a resident of Pindi Bhattian, Hafizabad; Iqra Nadeem daughter of Muhammad Nadeem, a resident of Mohallah Ghorra, Mandi Bahauddin; Sania Bibi daughter of Muhammad Zarait, a resident of Muzaffarabad; Zuha Qasim daughter of Muhammad Qasim, a resident of Pindorian, Kuri Road Islamabad; Tayyaba Ramzan daughter of Muhammad Ramzan of district Sidhnoti, Azad Kashmir; Razia Mushtaq daughter of Mushtaq, a resident of Chichawatni; and Olamide Bela daughter of Praise Morenikeji, a Nigerian national.

During preliminary investigation, it emerged that Li Guoliang used to make porn videos and upload them on multiple websites for hefty amounts. The female accused, in their statements to police, said that they were lured into the porn business in the name of jobs. The police have registered a case under sections 292, 294, 509, and 216 of the Pakistan Penal Code; sections 20 and 21 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016; and the Punjab Arms Amendment Ordinance 2015. Further investigation is underway, according to police.
