Sandra Shehab and Amina Muaddi Attend Jacquemus Show in Corsica
Sandra Shehab and Amina Muaddi at Jacquemus Corsica Show

Fashion stars Sandra Shehab and Amina Muaddi were among the high-profile guests at Jacquemus’ latest runway presentation, as the French luxury house transformed the dramatic Phare de la Pietra lighthouse in Corsica into the setting for its spring/summer 2027 collection, Le Bonheur. Held on June 29, the intimate show continued designer Simon Porte Jacquemus’ tradition of staging collections in spectacular natural landscapes.

Jacquemus’ Tradition of Spectacular Runways

Previous presentations have unfolded in lavender fields, salt marshes and the gardens of Versailles, while this season the Mediterranean island of Corsica provided the backdrop for a collection inspired by light, nature and the joy of simple living. Sandra Shehab wore an all-white look.

“I am deeply honored and proud to present this show at the Phare de la Pietra in L’Ile-Rousse, a place of exceptional beauty and history,” Jacquemus said in a statement shared exclusively with WWD. “I am also delighted to partner with the town of L’Ile-Rousse in supporting the restoration and preservation of this unique heritage site,” he added. “Bringing these places to life and helping ensure their legacy is passed on to future generations is something that is particularly close to my heart.”

Notable Attendees and Their Influence

Among those attending were US fashion influencer Sandra Shehab, who has Egyptian roots, and Jordanian Romanian footwear designer Amina Muaddi, both of whom shared glimpses of the event with their social media followers. Muaddi has become one of the Arab world’s most influential names in luxury fashion. After launching her eponymous footwear label in 2018, she quickly gained a global celebrity following, with stars — including Rihanna, Beyonce, Kendall Jenner, and Dua Lipa — regularly wearing her signature crystal-embellished heels. She has also collaborated with fashion houses, including Fenty and Wolford.

Shehab, meanwhile, has built a loyal following through her fashion and lifestyle content, regularly attending international runway shows and representing Middle Eastern style on the global fashion circuit.

The Brand and Its Mediterranean Aesthetic

Founded in 2009 by Simon Porte Jacquemus, the French label has become synonymous with minimalist tailoring, sculptural silhouettes and a distinctly Mediterranean aesthetic. The brand is also renowned for turning its runway shows into cinematic experiences, selecting striking outdoor locations that reflect the mood of each collection. For Le Bonheur, Jacquemus chose the 19th-century Phare de la Pietra overlooking the Mediterranean, reinforcing the collection’s connection to the French designer’s southern roots and his long-standing fascination with natural landscapes. The event also highlighted Corsica’s heritage, with local models joining the runway.
