Muzaffargarh Health CEO Suspends Vaccinator for 90 Days

MUZAFFARGARH – Chief Executive Officer (Health) Muzaffargarh, Fayaz Gopang, has suspended vaccinator Iftikhar Ahmad of Jagat Pur for 90 days over allegations of verbal abuse and harassment of a female Community Health Inspector. The action comes after an alleged audio recording of the incident went viral on social media, prompting a formal inquiry under the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability (PEDA) Act.

Alleged Misconduct and Viral Audio

According to an official spokesperson, the matter came under scrutiny after an audio recording related to the incident circulated widely on social media platforms. The Health Department stated that the allegations of unprofessional conduct and actions that allegedly damaged the department’s reputation would be thoroughly investigated. During the suspension period, Iftikhar Ahmad has been directed to ensure his attendance at the DDHO Office as per departmental instructions.

Zero-Tolerance Policy Reiterated

Fayaz Gopang reiterated the department’s zero-tolerance policy regarding respect for female employees and the provision of a safe workplace. He emphasized that no leniency would be shown in cases involving misconduct, harassment, or violations of professional ethics. The suspension order is effective immediately and will remain in place for 90 days pending the outcome of the inquiry.
