Two Brothers Killed, Three Children Injured in Attock Wall Collapse

ATTOCK – Two teenage brothers died on the spot and three other children sustained injuries when a wall suddenly collapsed during heavy rainfall in Dhok Balam, near Bota village, approximately 10 kilometers from Attock, on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred amid a heavy downpour that weakened the structure, trapping five children under the debris.

According to details, the wall gave way unexpectedly, burying the children. Rescue 1122 teams arrived promptly after receiving information and conducted a professional operation to extract the victims. The bodies of the deceased brothers and the injured children were recovered from the rubble. First aid was administered at the scene before all victims were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Attock, for further medical treatment.

Local Residents Express Grief and Call for Structural Safety

Local residents expressed deep grief over the tragic loss of life and urged authorities and homeowners to ensure the safety of structures in rain-prone areas to prevent such incidents in the future. They emphasized the need for regular inspections and reinforcement of vulnerable walls, especially during the monsoon season.

In a separate development, workers of the Suthra Punjab program lodged a protest, demanding immediate payment of their outstanding salaries.
