A powerful gas explosion ripped through a house in Rawalpindi on Monday, leaving the structure shattered and at least six people suffering burn injuries after a fire broke out and caused extensive damage to the building.

According to Rescue 1122, the incident took place at a house in Afandi Colony, where a buildup of gas is believed to have triggered a powerful explosion. The blast was followed by a fire that engulfed parts of the house and left six people injured, a local news channel reported.

A Rescue 1122 spokesperson said the blast caused severe structural damage to the building. Rescue teams immediately reached the scene after receiving information and launched an emergency operation. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control after intense efforts.
