K-Electric Ensures Power Supply Amid Karachi Heatwave

K-Electric on Friday announced that it is making concerted efforts to maintain a stable electricity supply as temperatures continue to rise across Karachi. In an official statement, KE spokesperson Imran Rana confirmed that the utility is fully prepared to manage the increased demand during the ongoing heatwave, with field teams placed on standby to promptly address any faults that may occur.

Commitment to Sustainable Power Supply

“As power demand escalates, K-Electric is committed to ensuring a sustainable electricity supply for all consumers,” Rana stated. He emphasized that field teams remain on high alert to ensure swift restoration of service in the event of any outages. The utility also urged citizens to follow heatwave safety guidelines to protect themselves during extreme weather conditions.

Coordination and Precautionary Measures

Officials at K-Electric noted that the company is closely coordinating with power suppliers to maintain system stability. In response to the scorching temperatures, routine maintenance shutdowns have been suspended, and economic load shedding may also be paused as the Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasts temperatures exceeding 45°C in the coming days.
