The administration at Lahore General Hospital (LGH) has successfully intercepted a pharmacy technician and his associates in the act of pilfering government-provided medicines. This incident came to light following an official complaint filed on Sunday by Dr Muhammad Shahid, the Deputy Medical Superintendent of the Emergency Department. The Kot Lakhpat Police Station has since registered a formal case against the accused individuals, who have been identified as Muhammad Arslan, Muhammad Ramadan, Faizan Farooq, and Muhammad Bilal, and has launched a thorough investigation into the matter.
Hospital Leadership Takes Immediate and Decisive Action
Principal of Ameer-ud-Din Medical College, Prof Dr Muhammad Farooq Afzal, expressed grave concern over the incident, emphasizing that individuals who deprive patients of essential medical care deserve no mercy or leniency.
