Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi on Wednesday stated that free, responsible, and positive journalism is essential for the development and stability of society. He emphasized that the media plays a vital role in promoting public awareness, national consciousness, and unity.
Meeting with Media Representatives
The governor expressed these views during a meeting at the Governor House with directors and representatives of various media organizations. The delegation included Director ABM News Syed Turab Shah, Director Pakistan Today Mudassar Alam, Zahid Karani of Daily The AZB, and Sakeena Zafar of Asayish News.
Discussions on Journalism and National Issues
The meeting featured detailed discussions on the promotion of journalism, responsible reporting, and national issues. The delegation extended greetings to the Governor Sindh on the successful completion of his Hajj pilgrimage.
Governor Sindh said that media serves as a strong bridge between the state and the public and is an effective means of communication and trust-building. He appreciated the services of the journalistic community and acknowledged their valuable role in society.
