ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan's keen interest in transforming its economic relationship with Saudi Arabia into a mutually beneficial partnership. He made these remarks during a meeting with a high-powered Saudi business delegation at the Prime Minister's House.
Strengthening Bilateral Ties
The prime minister warmly welcomed the Saudi delegation and recalled the visit of Prince Mansour and a previous Saudi business delegation to Pakistan in October 2025. He expressed optimism that the current visit would enable both sides to advance discussions and finalize memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and agreements across various sectors.
Key Areas of Cooperation
During the meeting, both sides explored opportunities for collaboration in trade, investment, energy, technology, and infrastructure development. The Saudi delegation expressed interest in expanding their footprint in Pakistan's growing economy.
The prime minister emphasized that Pakistan offers a favorable investment climate, with incentives for foreign investors. He assured the delegation of full government support to facilitate their business ventures.
The delegation members thanked the prime minister for the warm reception and reiterated their commitment to strengthening economic ties between the two brotherly countries. They highlighted that Saudi Arabia considers Pakistan a key partner in its Vision 2030 economic diversification plan.
This engagement marks another step in the longstanding fraternal relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, with both sides eager to translate political goodwill into tangible economic outcomes.
