South Korea's Vice Foreign Minister for Diplomatic Strategy and Intelligence, Jeong Yeon-doo, met with Sweden's Special Envoy for the Korean Peninsula, Peter Semneby, on Wednesday to discuss recent developments and ways to promote peace in the region, according to the foreign ministry.

The talks took place at the foreign ministry in Seoul. During the meeting, both sides discussed Sweden's contributions to Korean Peninsula issues. Jeong highlighted Stockholm's appointment of a special envoy and its role as a bridge between the two Koreas.
Sweden's Diplomatic Efforts
Semneby outlined Sweden's diplomatic efforts regarding Korean Peninsula issues and reaffirmed Stockholm's commitment to maintaining close communication with Seoul, the ministry stated.
