The participants addressed recent regional and international developments, exchanging views on current events and their impact on the security and stability of the region. Emphasis was placed on the necessity of intensifying global efforts to protect maritime routes and ensure freedom of navigation, which would safeguard shared interests and reinforce regional and international stability.
Condemnation of Iranian Attacks
The meeting also covered Iranian attacks on several countries in the region, including Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan. The GCC strongly condemned these attacks, highlighting their repercussions on the security and territorial integrity of the targeted nations and their airspace. The council noted that such actions undermine efforts aimed at de-escalation and restoring security and stability in the region.
Bilateral Meeting with Bahraini Crown Prince
Prince Faisal was also received by the Crown Prince of Bahrain, Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa. During their meeting, the two officials reviewed relations among GCC member states and discussed ways to enhance joint Gulf action. They emphasized the council's role and its mandated efforts to achieve coordination, integration, and cooperation among member states across various fields.
