He highlighted that rising global tensions, particularly between the United States and Iran, remain a serious concern and stressed that SAARC should contribute constructively towards de-escalation efforts. He further stated that the world is in dire need of peace, and Pakistan's leadership is making consistent political and strategic efforts to promote stability and harmony.

The Deputy Chairman Senate observed that Pakistan's efforts have contributed to facilitating ceasefire and dialogue, including encouraging engagement between the United States and Iran after decades, expressing hope that these efforts will lead to lasting peace and meaningful outcomes.

He urged SAARC member states to support Pakistan's initiatives and work collectively towards addressing regional and international challenges. He also underscored the importance of reviving the SAARC process, which has remained largely dormant since 2016, and called upon member countries, particularly India, to move beyond rigid postures and contribute positively towards regional peace and cooperation.
