BEIRUT - Four people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on southern Lebanon, according to a wire service report. The strike targeted a house in the town of Zilaya in the Western Beqaa District, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, while rescue teams continue efforts to remove the rubble, the wire service added.
Details of the Attack
Israeli drones also targeted the town of Mayfadoun, resulting in the deaths of two more people. The town came under artillery shelling simultaneously. Israeli forces issued an urgent warning to residents of several towns and villages, including Kouthariyet El-Siyad, Ghassaniyeh, Mazraat el Daoudiye, Bedias, Rihan, Zlaya, Bazouriyeh, Harouf, Habboush, Ansariyeh, Qlaileh, and Deir Al-Zahrani.
Violation of Truce
By continuing its attacks on southern Lebanon, the Israeli entity is violating the truce that began on April 16 for a period of ten days, before being extended for an additional three weeks starting from April 23. The ongoing hostilities have led to casualties and damage in the region.
