Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned the recent Iranian attacks targeting Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait, labeling them a dangerous escalation and a violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of these nations. The attacks, which involved drones and missiles, prompted air defense responses in the affected countries.
Saudi Statement
The Saudi Foreign Ministry issued a statement denouncing what it described as brutal Iranian aggressions and blatant violations of the sovereignty of the sisterly states. The ministry emphasized that these attacks pose a threat to the security and safety of the territories and airspaces of Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
Regional Reactions
Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt have also voiced their condemnation. The Qatari Foreign Ministry described the attacks as a flagrant violation of sovereignty and a blatant breach of international law. It stressed the need to spare the region from the consequences of these unjustified attacks and to work toward de-escalation to restore security and stability regionally and internationally.
Kuwait's Foreign Ministry stated that the latest attacks represent a continued aggressive approach by Iran that seeks to undermine Kuwait's sovereignty and regional de-escalation efforts. The UAE issued a strongly worded statement through its foreign ministry, while Egypt expressed full solidarity with the three Gulf states and affirmed its support for measures aimed at protecting their security, stability, and national assets.
Egypt also reiterated its rejection of any actions that undermine state sovereignty or threaten territorial integrity, calling for de-escalation and respect for international law to preserve regional stability. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry emphasized that the security of Arab states is an integral part of Egyptian and Arab national security.
