The Ministry of Interior has set July 10 as the final deadline for Afghan nationals residing illegally in Pakistan. Authorities have been instructed to arrest anyone found without legal status after the deadline expires.
Nationwide Operation Against Undocumented Afghans
According to the Ministry of Interior, a nationwide operation against undocumented Afghan nationals will begin from July 10. Provincial chief secretaries, inspectors general of police (IGs), and the Islamabad administration have been directed to ensure strict enforcement of the government's instructions.
From July 11 onwards, provincial authorities will be required to submit daily reports to the Ministry of Interior outlining the enforcement measures taken. The reports must include the number of Afghan nationals found without valid visas, the action taken against them, and their current legal or custodial status.

The official directive describes the matter as a top priority and calls for its immediate and effective implementation by all relevant authorities.
Recent Security Incident and Terrorist Confessions
Earlier, a wounded terrorist arrested following the attack on a Pakistan Rangers Sindh camp made several disclosures during a confessional video, alleging links between Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and the Afghan Taliban regime. The suspect identified himself as Usman Ali from Jalalabad, Afghanistan. He claimed he entered Pakistan seven days earlier along with three accomplices — Abdul Hadi, Janan and Umar Farooq.
According to Usman Ali, Abdul Hadi, a resident of Bajaur, was killed during the attack, while Janan hurled a grenade at the Rangers camp. Usman Ali further alleged that the group had been staying in an under-construction building in Karachi and that the weapons used in the attack had been brought from Waziristan by Abdul Hadi. He also claimed he was shot while attempting to flee and collapsed at the scene.
