Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday stated that the government is making every possible effort to provide relief to the common man in the upcoming federal budget, despite the economic and security challenges facing the country. Speaking to the media, he emphasized the government's commitment to easing the burden on ordinary citizens and noted that consultations on budget-related matters are ongoing.
Relief Package Constraints
He added that a broader relief package could have been announced had the country not faced a war-like security situation. Rana Sanaullah highlighted that the current government has succeeded in steering Pakistan away from economic default despite global financial pressures. He assured that efforts are underway to ensure the upcoming budget offers maximum possible facilities and relief to the public.
Security Concerns and Border Management
Commenting on the security situation, Rana Sanaullah said militants entering from Afghanistan are involved in attacks inside Pakistan. He stressed that stronger border management is essential to curb terrorism and urged Afghanistan not to become a tool of India, calling on the neighboring country to take effective measures to secure its borders.
Call for National Unity
The special assistant also called for national unity against terrorism and praised the role of Pakistan’s armed forces in combating militant elements. He expressed hope that peace would soon be restored across the country.
Foreign Policy Stance
On foreign affairs, Rana Sanaullah reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the Palestinian people. He stated that Islamabad would back any agreement recognizing the State of Palestine if it is accepted by the Palestinian leadership.
