Security forces kill 21 Indian-sponsored terrorists in N Waziristan

Security forces have eliminated another 21 Indian-sponsored terrorists during a series of intelligence-based operations conducted in the Miran Shah area and its surrounding regions in the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Details of the Operations

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the militants were killed over the past 72 hours following intense exchanges of fire. Among those killed were four key ring leaders identified as Khalid Raza alias Salar, Muftoon, Musa, and Imran alias Ayan.

Major Blow to Khawarij Network

The military's media wing said the operation has dealt a major blow to the Khawarij network active in the area. The slain ring leaders were reportedly highly wanted for their involvement in multiple terrorist incidents, including attacks that resulted in the deaths of security personnel and innocent civilians.

Total Terrorists Eliminated

With the latest operation, the total number of terrorists killed in these carefully planned and precise actions has risen to 48. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed Indian-sponsored militants, who, according to ISPR, had remained actively involved in various terrorist activities and the killing of innocent civilians.

Ongoing Sanitisation Operations

Security forces are continuing sanitisation operations in the area to clear out any remaining terrorists hiding in the region. ISPR said the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue with full determination to eliminate the threat of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
