Arrest Made in Intelligence-Based Operation
District Keamari Police have arrested a wanted offender who was allegedly planning the targeted killing of a sub-inspector. The operation was carried out by SITE-A police in the Pathan Colony area of Keamari district based on intelligence inputs.
According to a spokesperson for Keamari Police on Monday, the suspect, identified as Faisal alias Manager, was apprehended during the targeted operation. His accomplice, Sajjad, managed to escape from the scene. Police recovered an illegal pistol along with ammunition from the possession of the arrested suspect.
Intelligence Led to Plot Against Sub-Inspector
The spokesperson said the operation was launched after an intelligence agency shared information that Faisal was planning to target a sub-inspector of SITE-A police station. During initial interrogation, the suspect disclosed that he had been seeking revenge for the death of his nephew, Kashif, and his associate, Zeeshan, who were killed in a police encounter on Waleeka Road in the SITE Area on August 9, 2025.
Suspect Also Confessed to Robbery
The suspect also confessed to his involvement in a robbery committed on Waleeka Road two days ago. During that robbery, he and an accomplice allegedly opened fire on two victims after they offered resistance before fleeing the scene. A case regarding the incident has already been registered at SITE-A police station.
Hardened Criminal with 14 Prior Cases
Police said Faisal is a hardened criminal with a history of 14 cases registered against him at various police stations. These include charges related to police encounters, robbery, and other serious offences. A case has been registered against the accused, while further investigation is underway.
