Sindh CJ Zafar Rajput Urges Young Lawyers to Work Hard, Announces Court Upgrades
Sindh CJ Visits Ghotki, Announces Digital & Solar Facilities for Courts

Sindh Chief Justice Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput, during a significant visit to Ghotki on Wednesday, delivered a powerful message to the legal fraternity, emphasizing that hard work and integrity are the fundamental keys to success for young lawyers, who he described as the future of Pakistan.

Vision for Young Lawyers and Judicial Reforms

Addressing members of the District Bar Ghotki, Justice Rajput reflected on the transient nature of high office, stating that while he is the Chief Justice today, someone else will hold the position tomorrow. He stressed that young legal professionals now operate in a digital era brimming with more opportunities than were available in his time. "The future belongs to the youth, just work hard," he advised, encouraging them to leverage these new avenues.

On the administrative front, the Chief Justice made several crucial announcements to bolster the judicial infrastructure. He confirmed that the recruitment process for judicial officers is actively underway and assured that the prevailing shortage of judges would be resolved soon. For the Ghotki district, he issued direct instructions to the District and Sessions Judge to begin the recruitment process for clerical and lower staff within one week.

Major Infrastructure and Facility Upgrades Announced

Aligning with the vision of the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Rajput outlined a two-phase plan to provide modern facilities to courts in the region. For the District and Sessions Court in Ghotki, he announced the provision of a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant, an e-library, and a 6 KW solar power system. The District Bar Ghotki will similarly receive an e-library and a 6 KW solar system.

This modernization drive will extend to the courts and taluka bar associations in Mirpur Mathelo, Deharki, and Ubauro. Each location is slated to be equipped with e-libraries, 6 KW solar systems, and water dispensers, significantly upgrading their operational capacity and sustainability.

During his visit, the Chief Justice inaugurated two newly constructed court buildings and a dedicated waiting area for women at the District and Sessions Court Ghotki. District and Sessions Judge Muno Mal Khagija informed him that the new buildings would house the courts of Additional Sessions Judges and Judicial Magistrates. Justice Rajput also planted a sapling in the court compound as a symbolic gesture.

Visit to Pano Aqil and Emphasis on Accountability

The Chief Justice's itinerary also included a visit to the Pano Aqil Civil Court on the same day. There, he inaugurated the Identification Branch of the Civil Court building, administered the oath to the newly elected office bearers of the Pano Aqil Bar Association, and planted another tree. He was welcomed with a traditional Sindhi cap and Ajrak by Bar President Sarwar Chachar.

Reiterating the theme of digital advancement, Justice Rajput announced that e-libraries and e-filing systems would be provided to courts and bar associations, with solar power systems to be installed in courtrooms and bar rooms within 60 days.

However, Justice Rajput also expressed serious concern over the inordinate delay in the construction of the Judicial Complex building, a project that began in 2017. He directed authorities to ensure its swift completion. He firmly reminded all present that court buildings are constructed with public funds, and any misappropriation would not be tolerated, underscoring his commitment to transparency and accountability in the use of state resources.
