In continuation of intelligence-based operations, security forces engaged multiple Khwarij locations in the general area of Miran Shah, North Waziristan District. Following intense exchanges of fire over the last 72 hours, 27 Khwarij belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Khwarij have been eliminated, according to an ISPR statement.
Recovered Weapons and Acknowledgment
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed Khwarij, who were actively involved in numerous terrorist activities and targeted killings of innocent civilians. By neutralizing this group, the heinous act of target killing of prominent figure Shaheed Malik Saifullah Dawar in Miranshah has been avenged, and the perpetrators have been brought to justice.
Ongoing Operations
Sanitization operations continue to eliminate remaining Khwarij from these areas. The relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of Azm e Istehkam, as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
