Senior district officials on Sunday reviewed progress on the expansion of the Patan Grid Station, a project expected to improve electricity supply and address longstanding power-related issues in Lower Kohistan.
Officials Visit Site
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lower Kohistan Zohaib Hayat and District Police Officer Zafar Ahmed Khan visited the site along with members of a local reconciliation committee to assess the pace of work and receive an update on the project's implementation.
Technical Briefing
During the visit, the technical team briefed the delegation on ongoing construction activities and outlined the work plan being followed to complete the expansion scheme. Officials were informed that work was progressing according to schedule and that efforts were being made to complete the project within the stipulated timeframe.
Members of the reconciliation committee welcomed the progress achieved so far and voiced confidence that the upgraded facility would help improve power distribution and reduce electricity-related difficulties faced by residents of the area.
The visiting officials underscored the importance of the project for the district's development and stressed the need for continued coordination to ensure its timely completion.
This development comes as a heat wave alert has been issued for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with temperatures potentially reaching 46 degrees Celsius, highlighting the critical need for reliable electricity supply.
