The Hajj 2026 operation under the government scheme is progressing rapidly, with 35,135 pilgrims having arrived in Saudi Arabia so far. To ensure a streamlined operation and provide essential services, 948 welfare staff and Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj have been deployed across various stations, assisting pilgrims from airports to their respective accommodations.
Flight Operations and Pilgrim Distribution
According to Nasir Aziz Khan, Coordinator of Facilitation and Coordination (F&C), a total of 137 flights from Pakistan have completed their journeys as part of the Hajj mission. Currently, 21,063 pilgrims are stationed in Makkah Mukarramah, while 14,072 are residing in Medina Munawwarah. The deployment of welfare staff is being finalised to further facilitate the pilgrims.
Staff Deployment and Services
Nasir Aziz Khan shared that the current personnel on duty include 598 Moavineen (helpers), 184 medical staff, and 158 Khuddam. He emphasised that these teams remain on high alert 24/7, working in shifts across Makkah and Medina to support the guests of Allah. According to the Consolidated Daily Situation Report, medical assistance has been provided to 6,613 outpatients at hospitals and dispensaries in Makkah and Medina.
Guidance and Lost Luggage Resolution
In Makkah, guidance services helped 6,525 pilgrims find their way to their destinations, while in Madinah, 15,462 pilgrims have completed their visit to Riaz-ul-Jannah. Furthermore, the mission successfully resolved 2,815 out of 2,832 requests regarding lost luggage in Medina, ensuring the belongings were returned to the pilgrims.
Coordinator F&C Nasir Aziz Khan reaffirmed the mission’s commitment to utilizing all available resources to provide the best travel and residential facilities. He stated that the primary goal is to ensure pilgrims can focus entirely on performing their Hajj rituals with peace of mind.
