The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture's office in Makkah province has launched a proactive field inspection campaign as part of the efforts of the Unauthorized Slaughter Control Committee. This campaign is being conducted in cooperation with Makkah Municipality, the General Administration of Mujahideen, and the National Company for Agricultural Services.

Early Preparations for Hajj Season

The campaign is part of the early preparations for the Hajj season and aims to enhance public health safety while reducing visual pollution in Makkah. The joint field efforts have resulted in the detection of several violating sites and the confiscation of sheep and camels prepared for slaughter outside officially approved slaughterhouses.

Legal penalties have been imposed on violators in accordance with the applicable regulations and instructions. The authorities are committed to ensuring that all animal slaughter activities are conducted in a safe and hygienic manner, protecting both public health and the environment.
