The National Assembly on Thursday passed a motion to suspend the membership of MNA Iqbal Khan Afridi for the entire ongoing session over allegations of misconduct and disorderly behaviour in the House.

Motion Details

The house approved a motion moved by Farah Naz Akbar regarding his suspension. According to the motion, the MNA was found using abusive language against the DG (Media) of the NA Secretariat during proceedings on 3 April 2026 and allegedly issued threats.

Additional Allegations

The motion also stated that he repeatedly misbehaved with police and security staff deployed at the Parliament and with the Chair. The decision underscores the assembly's commitment to maintaining decorum and discipline within its premises.
