Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the National Police Academy on Thursday, where he engaged with trainee Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) and discussed matters related to professional development and training. During the visit, the minister underscored the necessity of adopting modern technology and smart policing methods to address contemporary law enforcement challenges effectively.
Respectful Conduct and Prompt Complaint Resolution
Naqvi advised the trainee officers to interact with citizens respectfully while on duty and to ensure that public complaints are addressed without any delays. He emphasized that the ASP trainees represent the future of the country and expressed strong confidence in their professional capabilities.
Government's Commitment to Quality Training
The interior minister reiterated that providing high-quality training and modern facilities remains a key priority for the government. He announced that the first batch of elite training programs would be launched soon, highlighting that training aligned with modern-day requirements is essential for effective policing. Furthermore, he stated that both training and residential facilities at the National Police Academy are being upgraded to meet international standards.
Inspection and Improvement Directives
During his visit, Naqvi inspected the academy's under-construction hostel, reviewed a model room, and directed officials to make necessary improvements. He also instructed authorities to complete the project at the earliest possible time.
Senior officials, including the Commandant of the National Police Academy, the Director General of the FIA, the Director General of NCCIA, the Islamabad Police chief, and other senior officers, were present on the occasion.
