Operation Ghazab lil Haq: Updated Statistics Reveal Heavy Militant Losses
Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has disclosed updated statistics regarding Operation Ghazab lil Haq, outlining significant militant casualties and infrastructure damage. In a statement posted on the social media platform X, the minister provided detailed figures that underscore the intensity of the ongoing campaign.
Militant Casualties and Infrastructure Destruction
According to Tarar, the operation has resulted in the deaths of 435 militants, referred to as "Khawarij," with an additional 630 sustaining injuries. This highlights the severe impact on militant forces involved in the conflict.
In terms of infrastructure, the minister reported that 188 check posts associated with the Taliban administration were completely destroyed, while 31 additional posts were taken over by Pakistani forces. This strategic move aims to disrupt militant logistics and control in the region.
Equipment Losses and Air Operations
The updated statistics also include the elimination of 188 tanks and armored vehicles, further crippling the militant capabilities. Additionally, air operations targeted 51 locations inside Afghanistan as part of the campaign, demonstrating a cross-border approach to the offensive.
Background and Context
Earlier, security officials had indicated that Pakistani forces carried out a successful strike in Khost, where an alleged weapons storage facility linked to Fitna al-Khawarij and the Afghan Taliban was destroyed. Sources maintained that the action followed what they described as unprovoked aggression along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
They asserted that both Fitna al-Khawarij and the Afghan Taliban are currently under sustained operational pressure and experiencing losses on multiple fronts. This context adds depth to the reported figures, suggesting a broader strategic effort to counter militant threats.
Note: The Sindh Government's declaration of a two-day Holi holiday for Hindu employees is unrelated to this operation and pertains to a separate regional announcement.
