As global attention remains intensely fixed on the escalating conflicts and shifting alliances in the Middle East, Pakistan is strategically advancing Operation Qazib-il-Haq under a veil of relative international anonymity. This unique geopolitical moment, characterized by widespread distraction, may indeed represent the perfect opportunity for Islamabad to pursue its objectives without the usual constraints of intense external scrutiny. At any other time, substantial international pressure might have forced Pakistan to adopt more restrained measures or pull its punches in this critical campaign.
A Campaign Defined by Concrete Military Objectives
This operation is not merely a war of symbolism or an exercise in establishing deterrence. It is also not primarily aimed at coaxing the Taliban back to negotiating tables under more favorable terms.
