Former Prime Minister and President of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Punjab Raja Pervez Ashraf on Friday termed the party’s July 25 rally at Minar-e-Pakistan a test of the PPP’s dignity and strength, urging workers to ensure its success through unity, dedication and effective mobilisation.

He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony organised by the PPP Lahore Division at its Johar Town office to review preparations for the July 25 public gathering, inaugurate the new PPP Lahore website and meet party office-bearers. Raja Pervez Ashraf said the first step towards success was consensus, mutual respect and the spirit of moving forward together.

He said the enthusiasm of party workers convinced him that the July 25 rally would be a success, adding that whenever Lahore rises, the voice of the PPP resonates across the country. He praised Lahore President Faisal Mir for announcing the Minar-e-Pakistan rally and urged every party worker to bring family members, friends and colleagues to the gathering.
Planning and Personal Commitment
He said thorough planning over the next 15 days would be essential to make the rally historic, adding that he would personally participate while carrying the party flag.
