FIA Arrests Two Passengers at Lahore Airport

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has ramped up passenger screening at Lahore International Airport, leading to the interception of a passenger carrying a passport with forged immigration stamps and the arrest of another individual wanted in a separate case.

Passenger with Fake Stamps Detained

According to an FIA spokesperson, passenger Sohrab Khan was flagged during immigration clearance while preparing to board SriLankan Airlines flight UL-154 to Colombo. A detailed examination revealed fake immigration stamps on his Pakistani passport. The suspect was handed over to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle, Lahore, for further investigation and legal action.

Wanted Suspect Arrested on Arrival

In a separate operation, FIA officials arrested Abdul Wakeel Khan upon his arrival from Dubai on flight 9P-503. During immigration clearance, his name appeared on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL). The suspect had been wanted by the FIA Gujranwala since 2025 and was transferred to the relevant authorities for legal proceedings.
