BAHAWALNAGAR - Bahawalpur Regional Police Officer (RPO) Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin and Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Irfan Ali Kathia visited Bahawalnagar district to review security arrangements for Ashura, the 10th of Muharram. The officials inspected security measures for gatherings, processions, Imambargahs, and the main procession route.

Visit to Control Rooms and Surveillance Systems

The officers visited the Safe City Control Room and the DC Office Control Room established in the DPO Office. They reviewed live monitoring of processions and gatherings through CCTV cameras, modern surveillance systems, communication systems, emergency response protocols, and coordination between police and other institutions.

Briefing on Security Plan

District Police Officer Bahawalnagar Muhammad Imran and Deputy Commissioner Bahawalnagar provided a detailed briefing on the Muharram security plan, including personnel deployment, CCTV monitoring, search and sweep operations, traffic management, emergency response, and other security arrangements. Senior officers joined processions to review internal and external routes, walk-through gates, metal detectors, CCTV cameras, search and sweep, traffic management, rescue services, medical camps, sanitation, lighting, drinking water camps, and langar arrangements.

Inspection of Facilities and Appreciation for Organizers

The officials also visited various drinking water camps established along procession routes, met organizers, inspected facilities provided to mourners, and appreciated the organizers for their excellent arrangements.
